Explore the North East

The North East is considered County Durham, Tyne and Wear, and Northumberland however North Yorkshire is in England's north east. Confused? Us too. But in this blog. because North Yorkshire is so accessible, we include everything north of York (but not including York as it gets plenty of coverage).

The region is home to many national landmarks: Hadrian's Wall, Sycamore Gap, The Angel of the North, Penshaw Monument, and Bamburgh, Raby, Alnwick, and Lindisfarne Castles.
